Wholesale Nurseries
Established in 1895, Boulton’s Nurseries is a respected commercial grower of hardy wholesale nursery plants, now specialising in eco-friendly, sustainable peat-free cultivation.
We propagate and grow on around 750,000 wholesale nursery plants annually to a range of discerning clients throughout the UK, including garden centres, country estates, botanic gardens and landscape gardeners. As a wholesale nursery, we are not open to the public for general sale, unless by appointment.
From our nursery in Staffordshire, our plants are distributed throughout the UK using our own transport.

As passionate horticulturists, we embrace new technology and have been at the forefront of sustainable growing techniques, such as using natural predators like parasitic wasps, and peat-free cultivation to produce healthy plants in renewable substrates.
Peat Free
We have been using peat-free alternatives since 2005, which not only helps to combat carbon emissions, but also helps with weed control, with the added bonus of using fewer chemicals.
UK Propagation
We grow all our plants on site and do not use poor quality imports. Having our own propagation department means we have more control over the production process and the high quality of the plants we produce.
Biological Control
We still operate to old records of how plants are placed together on the growing beds, and we use natural predators in preference to pesticides.
